Redemption Church Calgary South
In 2017, a core group from Redemption Calgary North under leadership of Pastor Quentin began to meet with the purpose of planting Redemption Calgary South. In January 2018 they officially launched as a church plant.
Redemption Church Olds
In June 2013 a couple from the Olds area began to attend Redemption Church Calgary and immediately felt in their hearts “we need a church like this in Olds!” Thus began the prayer process to see if this was part of God’s plan.
In 2014, 6-8 people began to meet at the Ramada Inn in Olds as a satellite location with a live feed service from Calgary. It was clearly a short term solution but a step in the right direction. One year later, Jon Anderson, an elder from Calgary, came as the full-time pastor.
This September they will install our own elders and officially stand as our own as an autonomous local church, Redemption Church Olds.
Redemption Church Red Deer
So we started connecting with people, sharing the vision on our Facebook page and gathering a group of people who desire to see a new work started in Red Deer. We gathered over the Fall of 2020 laying the foundation of our church. We continued to gather during the Winter of 2021, talking about what type of culture we want to have – being Christ-centered, servant- hearts, build community through hospitality, having a sense of urgency, and doing all things in love. During that time we met for prayer, praise, and teaching of the Word of God.
As of April 4 2021 – Easter Sunday, we officially launched the church – meaning we are running our kids ministry, connections ministry and preaching of the Word of God. We are a church under construction, are still developing those ministries, looking for a worship leader to join us, as well as find a more permanent place to gather. We are excited to see God build this new church in Red Deer and desire to be used by Him to be another church working at reaching the lost, making disciples and by God’s grace multiplying.
Redemption Church Edmonton
In May of 2021 Pastor Kyle Hunter was accepted by the Great Commission Collective to church plant in the Edmonton area, starting officially September 1.
We are planting in the Edmonton area, but to be clear, the Lord will plant his church. Christ is the head, He is the foundation, and we are for His glory. There are faithful churches in Edmonton but we need so many more that will make disciples of Christ. Our desire is to see lost people saved, saved people matured, and matured people multiplied, all to the glory of God!
Moldova- Vertical Church Komrat
The mission of Redemption Church Calgary North is to make disciples locally and globally. As part of that goal, we’ve acted as the coaching church for Harvest Bible Chapel Komrat since June of 2016. Komrat is a town of over 20,000 people located 100 km south of the capital city, Chisinau. It is situated in the southern half of Moldova, which is an Eastern European country positioned between Romania and Ukraine. Harvest Bible Chapel Komrat launched as a revitalized church plant in April of 2017 under the leadership of Pastor Andrea Tanasov. The elders of Redemption Church oversee this church plant while they identify their own elders. It is our joy to support Harvest Komrat for the expansion of God’s kingdom.
